CWT, one of the world's leading digital travel management companies, with an employee base of 12,000 spread across 45 countries evenly distributed across 4 continents.  CWT helps organizations of all sizes deliver a travel programme that engages employees, empowers them to be more productive and takes complexity out of their on the road experience.

I collaborated closely with global business leaders while heading the HR Business Partners Teams. Together, we implemented a series of impactful initiatives that enhanced engagement and operation effectiveness.

During the challenging economic climate brought on by the COVID pandemic my team and I took the opportunity to drive the following programmes:

  • Cost Management: Introduced furlough, voluntary and involuntary time reduction programmes across 33 countries.
  • Organization Development: evolved the structure of our global call centers by partially outsourcing. transactional activities and tiding up the way customers were supported which led to a shift in the design structure and geographical footprint of CWT call centers .
  • Talent Acquisition: Automated the sourcing processes to enable a faster pre-selection and more effective onboarding of talent.
  • Engagement actions: introduced an employee led programme to capture the changing needs of our talent across the globe and enabled new initiatives to be implemented.
  • Global Reward: simplified the US medical plan, introduced targeted retention measures in key countries across EMEA, Asia and Latin America.

In addition to my role as the leader of the HR Business Partners Teams, I also had the privilege of leading the Global Talent and Reward teams for a period of 7 months. Furthermore, I assumed the interim position of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for a period of 9 months, providing leadership and guidance during this transitional phase.

Inspired is a co-educational, non-denominational, independent school group designed to inspire students to achieve their maximum potential in a nurturing, progressive academic environment from ages 1 to 18.  Inspired owns a number of independent schools across the globe.

 

In my role reporting directly to the CEO and Founder, my primary focus was on defining and sculpting the HR strategy necessary for sustaining the group's remarkable growth trajectory.  Introduced some basic HR infrastructure:

  • Talend Development and Performance Management strategy: consolidated processes, identified key KPI and automated the performance and development process.
  • HRIS: Introduced and launched a global HR system.
  • HR operations: updated key policies, introduced a global communication platform for Teachers, and the outsourced part of the pre-employment processes.

Travelport Worldwide Ltd provides distribution, technology, payment solutions for the travel and tourism industry. Travelport employed 4,000 employees across 45 different countries with large presence in Europe and US.

 I was responsible for leading several teams within Travelport, including Performance & Engagement, Talent Development, Executive Compensation and Global Reward, HR Partners to Central Functions, HRIS, and Global Sourcing. My primary goal was to empower Travelport's employees to drive Growth and Innovation, ensuring the business thrived and succeeded during a period of significant change.

During my tenure, I spearheaded several pivotal initiatives, including:

  • Collaborating with the Board to implement a progressive governance structure for Executive Committee meetings and introducing new executive compensation programs in preparation for the IPO.
  • Overhauling our HR systems to reduce manual administrative tasks and successfully bringing the Talent Acquisition Team in-house, resulting in increased productivity.
  • Launching a comprehensive Diversity and Inclusion Strategy along with related initiatives.
  • Introducing a new employee survey and establishing an HR analytics team to provide crucial insights for informed decision-making within the business.

Before this corporate role, I partnered closely with the Global Commercial, Product, and Marketing teams, which comprised roughly 1,500 employees located in offices spanning 45 countries. I supported them through a multitude of high-impact activities, including mergers, acquisitions, major organisational transformations, restructurings, and global integration initiatives. In my capacity, I offered both hands-on operational guidance and strategic leadership to facilitate the swift expansion of the business into emerging growth markets.

Cendant Corporation was an American provider of business and consumer services, primarily within the real estate and travel industries.

 

I was primarily responsible for driving all HR activities for the B2B Travel part of the organization in EMEA. I led the HR workstream for several acquisitions, due diligence and integration projects including spending time in the newly acquired businesses to successfully drive the integration plans.

Senior HR Manager - AMC Networks

UPC Holding is a European telecommunications company owned by Liberty Global which provides cable television, broadband internet and fixed telephony in Europe.

I was brought on board to join the project team responsible for developing two high-quality sports channels, one in Hungary and one in the Czech Republic. During the initial phase of my involvement, which spanned the first five months, I dedicated the majority of my time to these locations. Within that short timeframe, we successfully recruited 56 individuals for each location, and the channels were launched according to the planned schedule.

In 2001, when UPC acquired Chello Broadband, I played a pivotal role in supporting the integration efforts between these two start-up companies. I provided HR leadership to the newly formed divisions under the banner of UPC/Chello
